Having a mantra to repeat is a great way to focus your mind if you find yourself unable to quiet your thoughts. Try choosing a short sentence, in the form of an “I am” statement, to use for a quick 5-minute meditation. Examples include: I am at peace; I am grateful for this day; I love my life. Give it a try the next time you want to do a short meditation but find you cannot keep your mind silent.
