Have you considered participating in the State of Illinois Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plan? If you spend $265 or more per year on recurring eligible medical or dependent care expenses, then you may save money by paying for them with an FSA. You can reduce your taxable income when you contribute to this plan.
For more information about the MCAP and DCAP, see the Flexible Spending Account Program.
For help estimating your annual Medical Care and/or Dependent Care expenses, and potential savings, try out the ConnectYourCare FSA Calculators.
If you would like to participate in the MCAP and/or DCAP, you will be able to enroll during Benefit Choice this May 1 – June 1, 2021. Annual reenrollment is required to continue participation and to rollover unused FY2021 funds to be used in FY2022. Note: You cannot enroll in both the MCAP and a Health Savings Account (HSA).
