If you enrolled in FSA during the IRS extension from 7/1/2020 – 12/31/2020, your claims are eligible for reimbursement from the date of your FSA enrollment through the end of the plan year.
Example: If you enrolled in FSA on October 1, 2020, you may only submit claims for expenses incurred during the period 10/1/2020 – 6/30/2021. Expenses incurred 7/1 – 9/30/2020 are not eligible for reimbursement.
Action is required if you:
- Would like to change your current FSA election amount due to the claim period beginning on your enrollment date and ending on 6/30/2021. You must change your election before 12/31/2020 at Mybenefits.illinois.gov or by calling MyBenefits.
No action is required if you:
- Do not want to change your FSA election amount for the claim period beginning on your enrollment date and ending on 6/30/2021.
