Have you considered participating in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plan? It’s a simple way to save money using tax-free dollars to pay for eligible medical and/or dependent care expenses. You can reduce your taxable income by enrolling in this plan.
Why Should I Consider Participating in the FSA?
Use tax-free dollars to pay for eligible expenses, which may include:
- Medical Care (MCAP) – Co-pays and out-of-pocket expenses, eye glasses, hearing aids, physical therapy, prescription medications, and more.
- Dependent Care (DCAP) – Child and elder day care, before- and after-school care, summer day camp, nursery school, pre-school, and more.
When Can I Enroll?
You can enroll during Benefit Choice beginning May 1 on the new CMS MyBenefits Marketplace website.
What If I'm Already Enrolled?
To continue your enrollment in the Medical Care Assistance Plan (MCAP) and/or Dependent Care Assistance Plan (DCAP), you must re-enroll during Benefit Choice for the upcoming plan year (July 2017 – June 2018).
You will make your Benefit Choice elections, including MCAP and DCAP enrollment, on the new CMS MyBenefits Marketplace website. As a reminder you may roll over up to $500 of your unused balance to the next plan year, but only if you re-enroll.
