Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated intern to support the EMS Licensing team in updating and modernizing online forms to ensure compliance with current regulations and standards. The selected intern will be responsible for revising and redesigning EMS Licensing forms, including updating contact information, URLs, and language. This role will require collaboration with the EMS Licensing Coordinator, Section Chief, and IDPH's graphic designer to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements. This internship offers valuable experience in both form design and the regulatory aspects of EMS licensing.
Responsibilities:
- Update EMS Licensing forms to align with current rules and laws.
- Edit and revise language, contact information, and URLs as needed.
- Redesign forms using Acrobat Pro to meet updated standards.
- Collaborate with the EMS Licensing Coordinator and Section Chief to ensure accurate and compliant updates.
- Participate in advisory meetings with staff to discuss updates and changes to specific forms.
- Work closely with IDPH’s graphic designer for access rights and assistance on design-related tasks.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring attention to detail and quality.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or Undergraduate student pursuing public health, graphic design, or related.
- Strong proficiency with Acrobat Pro, and familiarity with graphic design software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time effectively.
- Previous experience or interest in EMS, military, or public safety fields is preferred.
- A background in healthcare, particularly emergency medical services, is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMS operations, regulations, or licensing processes is preferred.

Duration and Compensation:
This is a summer internship that will begin in May and conclude in August. This is an unpaid internship with flexible scheduling options to accommodate academic commitments. Academic credit may be available depending on your institution's guidelines. This is a remote opportunity for 20 hours a week.
