Overview:
The Training and Technical Unit (TTU) within the Office of Health Care Regulation is looking for a motivated intern to assist with the development and maintenance of the CY 2025 Events Interactive Calendar and related reporting tasks. The intern will work closely with the Unit Manager/Lead Trainer to create and manage MS Forms and hyperlinks, compile reports, and coordinate weekly activities for staff in the Northern & Southern Regions. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain experience in data collection, reporting, web-based content management, and technical training support in a healthcare regulatory setting. The intern will receive step-by-step guidance on processes but should be comfortable working with digital tools independently.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and linking Microsoft Forms for weekly activities and events on the interactive calendar.
- Prepare and email weekly activities to staff in both the Northern & Southern Regions.
- Collect staff responses, monitor submissions daily, and compile data into weekly and monthly reports.
- Prepare and organize monthly meeting reports, agendas, and data collection for leadership review.
- Collaborate with the TTU team to ensure all scheduled activities and events are accurately represented and accessible in the calendar.
- Troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Business Administration or Management, Health Administration, Computer Science, or a related field from UIC, Loyola University Chicago, University of Chicago, Northwestern University, or DePaul University.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Ability to create and manage simple web pages or forms.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Forms and other web-based platforms, is preferred.
Duration and Compensation:
This is a summer internship that will begin in May and conclude in August. Academic credit may be available depending on your institution's guidelines. This is an unpaid hybrid position in Chicago, IL for 10 hours per week Monday through Thursday. Must be available to work onsite twice a month for 4 hours at a time.
