Overview:
The Training and Technical Unit (TTU) within the Office of Health Care Regulation is looking for a motivated intern to assist with the development and maintenance of the CY 2025 Events Interactive Calendar. The intern will work closely with the Unit Manager/Lead Trainer to help create and manage hyperlinks and MS Forms on the web, ensuring that surveyors can easily access activities and surveys posted on the calendar. This role offers a great opportunity to gain practical experience in web development, form building, and data management in a healthcare regulatory setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in building and linking MS Forms for monthly activities and events on the CY 2025 Events Interactive Calendar.
- Create hyperlinks for various event-related content, such as trivia questions and other activities, and link them to the calendar for easy access by surveyors.
- Collect responses from staff through the hyperlinks and compile notes or reports based on the collected data.
- Collaborate with the TTU team to ensure all activities and events are accurately represented and accessible in the calendar.
- Help troubleshoot any issues related to the calendar, hyperlinks, or forms to ensure smooth functionality.
Qualifications:
- University of Illinois Chicago graduate student pursuing Computer Science, Business Management, Web Design, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Ability to create and manage simple web pages or forms.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Forms and other web-based platforms, is preferred.
- International students must be eligible to work off-campus. Please include verification in cover letter.
Duration and Compensation:
This is a summer internship that will begin in May and conclude in August. This is an unpaid internship with flexible scheduling options to accommodate academic commitments. Academic credit may be available depending on your institution's guidelines. This is a hybrid position in Chicago, IL for 10 hours per week.
