Overview:
Join the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) as a Healthcare Policy and Procedures Intern and play a crucial role in improving the quality of data tools and internal forms within the Division. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive intern to assist in the review and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our team to enhance internal processes and improve data tools.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with staff to review and convert existing SOPs into an online format for easy access by all team members.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with staff to gather insights and develop new SOPs as needed.
- Assist in evaluating and improving quality data tools and internal forms within the Division.
- Contribute to the documentation process, ensuring clarity and consistency across all materials.
- Assist in the creation of more auditing tools.
- Create and update fillable forms for the provider and survey staff.
Requirements:
- 5-10 hours per week.
- Undergraduate or graduate student.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative environment.
Duration and Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship with flexible scheduling options to accommodate academic commitments. This is a hybrid position in Springfield, Illinois for 5-10 hours a week with one day being onsite. Academic credit may be available depending on your institution's guidelines.
