Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid preferred, open to Remote)
Overview: Join the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) as a Project Management Enhancement Intern for the Director's Office and play a crucial role in improving our project management practices. This internship provides a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful work that supports public health administration and planning.
Responsibilities:
- Research & Documentation: Conduct research to develop comprehensive descriptions for various public health programs and positions. Your work will help clarify public understanding and strengthen recruitment efforts.
- Project Management Support: Assist in creating project management deliverables, including drafting scopes of work for contractual projects. This hands-on experience will deepen your understanding of project management within a public health context.
- Administrative Assistance: Support the team in administrative tasks related to project management, contributing to the efficient execution of public health initiatives.
Requirements:
- Able to work approximately 15 hours per week
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program related to Public Health, Administration, Political Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Interest in public health and project management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
