Join the IDPH accounting team as an intern and gain valuable hands-on experience in financial operations. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in invoice processing, reconciliation, and financial record management within a dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare invoices for processing in compliance with company policies.
- Enter invoice data accurately into our SAP accounting system.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounting entries.
- Reconcile various spending accounts with records maintained by the Comptroller's office.
- Maintain organized and centralized file storage for financial documents.
Requirements:
- Able to work approximately 10-15 hours a week
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
This is an unpaid internship with flexible scheduling options to accommodate academic commitments. The internship will be part time, for approximately 10-15 hours per week and will start at the end of August. Academic credit may be available depending on your institution's guidelines.
