Typically, we run the Know What You Owe Challenge each semester to teach students how to manage their education debt in school and beyond.
But this year is different. So, we've changed our approach to focus on fighting misinformation and supporting knowledge that will be helpful regardless of future policy shifts regarding student loans.
To enroll in Moodle & take the challenge:
1. Visit go.uillinois.edu/FactCheckYourDebt
2. Log in with the NetID Login button*
3. Under Self-enrollment, click Enroll Me
4. Complete the Fact Check Your Debt quiz
*If you are already enrolled in the Borrow course, visiting the go.uillinois.edu/FactCheckYourDebt URL will take you immediately to the Fact Check Your Debt module.
You will be entered for a chance to win one of five gift cards if you complete the quiz by May 1, 2025. *To be eligible for the drawing, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
You can take the quiz as many times as you'd like, but only one entry per student will be allowed for the prize drawing.
