Want to display your badge on LinkedIn?
If you have a digital badge from the University of Illinois Digital Badges Program, you may have noticed that there's a new backpack system to use. Since the transition from Mozilla Backpack to Badgr Backpack, there's a new way to create collections that can be placed on LinkedIn.
We created a tutorial to help you display your badges on LinkedIn after you've transitioned to using Badgr.
- Make sure you are still logged in to your Badgr account
- Go to the Collections tab in your account on upper right corner to create a new collection
- Name the collection & put in a description. See below for text you can copy and paste in those fields
- Collection Name: University of Illinois Financial Literacy Digital Badges
- Description: The Financial Literacy Badges Program structures University of Illinois’ financial education initiatives to align with the National Financial Capability Standards produced by the US Treasury in 5 categories: borrow, earn, protect, save, and spend.
- Make sure to check the public box as you create the collection
- Add the badges you want to include in the collection and press save changes
- Then click Share on the collection you wish to display on LinkedIn
- Copy the link
- Log into your LinkedIn profile and go to edit the section of your profile you wish to place the Collection
- To place in the section for Licenses & Certifications, click the plus sign next to that section
- To update the link where you may have already placed an OpenBadges backpack collection, click the edit symbol
- Complete information about the Financial Literacy Badges, including the name, issuing organization, and credential URL
