On Friday, a Springfield judge issued an order in a lawsuit filed by Health Alliance and Humana that has resulted in uncertainty about the Benefit Choice Period. The University has been in contact with the State's Department of Central Management Services (CMS) about what this means for University employees, including what, if any, impact it will have on the length of the Benefit Choice period and the available healthcare plan options. No definitive information is available at this time. The University will remain in contact with CMS, and it is expected that information will be available on Monday concerning employees' Benefit Choice options. We will send that information as soon as it becomes available.
