The end of Benefit Choice is June 1. If you haven’t re-enrolled in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Program for the plan year beginning on July 1, 2021, you have until June 1 to do so at https://MyBenefits.illinois.gov. No action is required if you are not re-enrolling in an FSA or making any other Benefit Choice changes!
Re-Enrollment Required for MCAP/DCAP Rollover
If you re-enroll in the MCAP/DCAP for the upcoming plan year, all of your remaining FY2021 funds will be rolled over to the new plan year (beginning July 1, 2021). This is effective for unused FY2021 funds to be used in FY2022.
If you do not re-enroll in the MCAP/DCAP, all funds in your MCAP/DCAP account will be forfeited if they are not used to reimburse expenses incurred on or before June 30, 2021.
Incur Current Year Expenses by June 30, 2021
All expenses for the current plan year must be incurred (services must be provided) on or before June 30, 2021. Any funds remaining in your account(s) for the current year cannot be used to pay for or reimburse charges incurred after June 30, 2021, with the exception of the MCAP/DCAP Rollover described above.
Submit Claims/Documentation by September 30, 2021
You must submit claims and any required documentation for charges incurred during the current plan year on or before September 30, 2021. Remember, claims for the current plan year can only include charges incurred July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
ConnectYourCare Payment Card
If you have a payment card, you should keep it as you can continue to use it if you re-enroll for the upcoming year. Keep your card until either:
- Your card has expired and you have received a new one from ConnectYourCare
- You are no longer enrolled in the FSA Program
