As part of the Organization Naming Standards that was established in 2021 and the TED Organization Record Cleanup Project that was announced in the February 2021 edition of the UIF Advancement Insider, UIF Advancement Services is continuing our efforts to cleanup organization records. You will now see that organizations and educational institutions in TED that contain “University” abbreviated to “Univ” in the name, have been updated to have “University” spelled out.In addition to the record names being updated, care has been taken to ensure that any ad hoc queries, exports, and data warehouse objects have been changed to “University”, for any instance of “Univ”.For instance, “Univ of Illinois at Springfield” has been updated to “University of Illinois at Springfield” on both the organization and degree records, since the degree record is tied to the educational institution’s organization record.
