Digital Accessibility
The University of Illinois System Digital Accessibility Working Group has been working on two major projects to improve digital accessibility awareness and our web experience.
Improved Web Experience
We are excited to announce the launch of a system-wide web scanning platform powered by Deque Axe Monitor. The platform will help university websites maintain compliance with the recently updated ADA Title II rules. It will identify accessibility issues and provide recommendations to address them. Stay tuned for future communications from the digital accessibility teams at each university.
Awareness Training
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our Digital Accessibility Overview Training Course! This comprehensive course is designed to empower faculty, staff, and students across our universities with the knowledge and skills needed to create a more inclusive digital environment.
Our course is currently being evaluated by a pilot group, and we are excited to incorporate their feedback to make it even better. Watch out for the official launch announcement later this spring!
