Standard procedures to follow
You must follow these standard procedures and recommendations:
- Log in from a PC, not a phone. Use Chrome or Firefox for your browser, if possible.
- Follow the photo requirements (further on this page).
- Start early! Allow at least one weekday for photo review—and possible rejection. You may need to submit a second (or third) photo.
- Do not email photos to the UI Health ID Office or to i-card Programs. Emailed photos are never accepted.
- Monitor the success of your photo submission. Log in to SubmitMyPhoto again to view the status message.
- You will be locked out of SubmitMyPhoto after three failed attempts. This cannot be reversed. Instead, the UI Health ID Office staff will take your photo when you visit there as part of your intake.
Photo essentials
Your photo will be printed on a small card, so these visual factors matter most:
- Your photo must look like a passport photo. Include only from just above the top of your head to just below your chin.
- Your photos must be bright and show your eyes and facial features clearly.
- Your photo background must be very plain and much lighter than the color of your hair or head covering.
Please note! All photo requirements are still in effect and are listed in the next section.
