  University Accounting & Financial Reporting offers a variety of courses every month. The courses below are offered through June.

  Accounting: Introduction to Banner & Finance II
  This course is a continuation of the prerequisite web-based course Introduction to Banner and Finance I. The goals of this course are to expand your Banner and finance knowledge and to practice using Banner. In this course, you'll learn more about the C-FOAPAL string. You'll discover how to navigate Banner and search for financial information. You'll also learn about finance topics like fund accounting, the Operating Ledger, and the General Ledger. After you've taken this course, you'll be ready to take many of the other business and finance training courses offered.

  Accounting: Journal Voucher Processing (Sessions 1, 2, and 3)

  This optional 3-class series builds on the required (Journal Voucher Processing Certification Track). It focuses on three components of a journal voucher.

  1. Preparing the information needed to accurately process a journal voucher.
  2. Using FGAJVCD, FGAJVCQ, FGAJVCM in Banner to successfully complete the data entry.
  3. Editing, reviewing, and monitoring the journal voucher for successful completion.

  NOTE: While the registration for the 3 classes is separate, all 3 classes must be taken in the same month.

  • February series is on February 23, 28, and March 2
  • April series is on April 20, 25, and 27
  • May series is on May 18, 23 and 25
     

  Accounting: My-UI-Financials

  My-UI-Financials is a financial report distribution tool where you can view all your financial and payroll information in one spot. You can drill down to see transaction details and open standard finance and payroll reports. You can provide others within your department access to My-UI-Financials to view the FOPs they are interested in instead of distributing paper copies of financial reports. Join University Accounting & Financial Reporting as we demonstrate My-UI-Financials and discuss how to get started and use it in your department.
