Dear Business and Finance Community,
We are getting closer to the launch of the new Business and Finance website, which will replace the OBFS website, in January 2024! We are excited to provide you with a modern and user-friendly platform that shares content for Business and Finance units across the University of Illinois System.
The debut of the new Business and Finance website (BusFin) is scheduled for January 16, 2024. "BusFin" is the new website acronym that will replace OBFS. The site’s structure and navigation is designed for an excellent user experience and will remind you much of the new Business and Finance News Center which was introduced in September.
The BusFin website is organized into six different categories to help you locate the information you are looking for easily and accurately every time. Instead of the confusing clutter of options on the current OBFS homepage, these six categories will provide a more succinct and accurate navigational structure tailored to your needs. The six categories are:
- Accounting and Budgeting
- Buying and Contracts
- Paying People
- Travel
- Equipment Management
- Payments to the University
Upon the new BusFin website going live, the OBFS website will be decommissioned.
This project has involved many of you throughout the process and your support of this project has been instrumental in our success. We are eager to embark on this new adventure with you all very soon!
