Dear colleagues,
Earlier this summer we announced an effort to replace the Travel and Expense Management (TEM) system with Chrome River. Today we are excited to give you a sneak peek into some of the exciting functionality and features, that the new system has to offer.
1. Dashboard: a one-stop shop
You’ll find that an organized dashboard, which is a one-stop shop with all the important information about your submissions, outstanding items, action needed, an eWallet and a gallery of all your receipts. Please see below a screenshot of how Chrome River Dashboard interface looks like.
2. Trip Pre-Approval
It’s very easy to set up your trip pre-approvals to help quickly build an expense report after you have returned from your trip. Chrome River also serves as an electronic tracking system for your unit. Please take a look below at the trip pre-approval module.
3. Mobile Functionality
With the CRSnap Smart Phone App, you are just a click away from automatically sending photos of your receipts to the receipt gallery on your dashboard. This new mobile functionality allows you to access the entire Chrome River system on your phone (see below)!
These are just examples of many new features that Chrome River will bring to make the university’s travel expense management process more efficient and user friendly.
We are currently developing training resources to assist you with transition from TEM into Chrome River. We are preparing live webinars, developing job aids and pre-recorded training sessions that will be available to you in October.
Chrome River implementation for the entire University of Illinois community is planned for November 2021. Please stay tuned for more communications!
