The new Business and Finance website is coming soon! The debut of the new Business and Finance (BusFin) website, replacing the current OBFS website is now scheduled for mid-February. We plan to facilitate this introduction through a series of preview sessions. While our initial target and announcement specified a debut on January 16, we find it necessary to adjust this timeline despite our best efforts. Following the debut events, the eagerly awaited go-live date for the new website is now confirmed for March 19. Our primary objective remains to deliver a modern, user-friendly platform for Business and Finance units across the University of Illinois System.
We are confident that you will be pleased with the progress and improvements made to the site’s structure and navigation. The implementation plan for the BusFin website is as follows:
- The new website BusFin.uillinois.edu will be made available for walkthroughs and preview sessions starting mid-February.
- The new website BusFin.uillinois.edu will go live on March 19, 2024 with the new URL.
- The OBFS website will remain temporarily available after the BusFin website's go-live date.
- Redirection from the OBFS website to the BusFin website will be established, and decommissioned obfs.uillinois pages will display a 404 error code.
