Adobe is implementing a technical block to restrict access to and use of Acrobat Sign from IP addresses located in mainland China as early as the last week of June 2025.
Impact
All users (senders, signers, approvers, viewers, administrators and other supported roles) attempting to access Acrobat Sign via Web, mobile app or API integrations from an IP address located in mainland China, will receive an “access denied” error and will be unable to use Acrobat Sign. Current data shows this will affect a small population of approximately 1 in 750 Adobe Sign use instances.
Users accessing Acrobat Sign from permitted locations outside of mainland China will not be impacted.
This policy enforcement should not affect those that have the ability to use university VPN (VPN resources). If a user is unable to access VPN, alternative methods will need to be used to get requisite signatures.
