Have you ever wanted to learn more about University Accounting & Financial Reporting (UAFR)? Do you sometimes have an accounting question but aren’t sure who the right person is to contact? If so, see below for some helpful information and guidance:
- UAFR is a system-wide service center that supports the University of Illinois System’s financial accounting and reporting needs. The UAFR webpage provides an overview of our department and the services we provide.
- A current version of the UAFR Org Chart is also located on this webpage if you’d like a clearer picture of how UAFR is structured.
- UAFR has many subject matter experts across a wide range of accounting areas. To ensure you receive the most accurate and up-to-date information, it’s best to contact the expert who specializes in the topic related to your question.
- To find the appropriate subject matter expert, use the Business & Finance Who to Ask list. You can search by keywords using the Search box located above the right-hand corner of the blue heading.
- For example, if you have a question on state funds, type “state funds” into the Search field to see the relevant contacts.
- If your search term contains multiple words, placing quotation marks around the phrase will return more accurate results. For example, searching “state funds” (with quotation marks) will provide more precise matches than searching without them.
- If you’re unsure which accounting terms to use (or if your search doesn’t return any results), you are always welcome to contact UAFR directly via phone (217-333-4568) or email (uas@uillinois.edu). We’ll be happy to connect you with the appropriate subject matter expert based on the topic of your question.
