  The Office of the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Comptroller announces that updates to Section 16 - Sponsored Projects Topics have been published in the Business and Financial Policies and Procedures Manual. 

  Highlights of this updated policy include:

  • Removal of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-110 reference from Sponsored Projects Closeout, Cost Transfers, and Program Income policies
     
  • Extension of sponsored project closeout deadline to submit final financial, performance, and other reports from 90 days to 120 calendar days after the project end date per Uniform Guidance revision stated in 2 CFR 200.344 Closeout
     
  • Addition of Uniform Guidance §200.216 Prohibition on certain telecommunications and video surveillance services or equipment to the Communication Costs and Equipment section of the Treatment of Select Items of Costs
     
  • Changes to the numbering of Uniform Guidance sections from:
    • 2 CFR 200.343 to 2 CFR 200.344 Closeout
    • 2 CFR 200.438 to 2 CFR 200.439 Equipment and other capital expenditures
    • 2 CFR 200.472 to 2 CFR 200.473 Training and education costs
    • 2 CFR 200.473 to 2 CFR 200.474 Transportation costs
    • 2 CFR 200.474 to 2 CFR 200.475 Travel costs
       
  • Updates to Sponsored Project Closeout Frequently Asked Questions
     
  • Replacement of the “post-award office, Grants & Contracts Office (GCO) and your campus GCO” with “sponsored programs post-award office and your university sponsored programs post-award office” where applicable
