The Office of the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Comptroller announces updates to 7.6 The University Purchasing Card (PCard). This policy removes the prohibition on having credit cards on file, increases the single transaction limit from $5,000 to $7,500, the credit limit has increased from $25,000 to $35,000, and certain items from have been renamed or moved from Prohibited Purchases to Restricted Purchases.
Highlights Include:
- Single Transaction Limit (STL) increased to $7,500*.
- Cycle Limit (CL) increased to $35,000*.
- Removed prohibition of having credit cards on file.
- Removed requirement for written justification of increased cycle limit above $15,000 (added after open comment).
- Small fuel purchases now allowed (for boats, tractors, etc.) using PCard.
- Utilities are exempt from House Accounts prohibition. Current utility payments may now be paid with the PCard.
- All new cards issued on or after October 2, 2023, will be issued at the new levels of $7,500 for Single Transaction Limit (STL) and $35,000 for Cycle Limit (CL).
*Card Services will update all PCardholders with a spend profile of $4,999 STL and $25,000 CL to $7,500 STL and $35,000 CL.
