• Tips for Navigating the BusFin Website: Payments to the University

  The new Business and Finance (BusFin) website was launched in March 2024. Given the abundance of content now available on our website, we want to highlight the most used areas. This week, we will look at the most popular areas of the Payments to the University page. Feel free to bookmark any of these pages in your browser for quick access. 

  Cash Handling

  • The Cash Handling section covers information regarding cash collections and cash disbursements, as well as contact, location, and deposit information for each university location.
    
    
  • On the menu on the right side of the page, there are three levels of cash handling training, including Cash Handling Level I: Cash Handling Fundamentals, Cash Handling Level II: Managing Change Funds Compliance Course, and Cash Handling Level III: Advanced Cash Handling.

  Department Receivables

  • The Department Receivables section covers the deposit policy for departments and the processing time for cashier operations after receiving a deposit. 
    
    
  • Under the Customer Billing section, you will find information regarding required customer information, account balances, and billing communication. This page also has a link to the Making Payments page, where you can access the General Accounts Receivable (GAR) Online Payment Center.
    
    
  • Go to the Department Information page to learn about eligible receivable transactions and departmental responsibilities. Under this section, there is a link to the Getting Started with Banner AR information and training materials.
