The Business & Finance Policy Office announces updates to several policies and policy-related materials to remove references to the “99” NACUBO function.
It was determined in FY23 that there was no longer a need to use program codes with a “99” NACUBO function for program codes used for fundraising, or program codes that were used for Unallowable Facilities and Administrative Rates. Instead, the activity would be tracked through the use of attributes added to the program code.
The affected policies and policy materials are:
7.2 Restricted Items and Purchases Requiring Special Approval
Buying Specific Commodities
8.1.4 Determine the Allowability of Gifts, Prizes, and Awards to Individuals
11.6 Accounting for Fundraising and Development Expenses
16.2.1 Treatment of Select Items of Cost
