It’s time to learn about Equipment Management! With the introduction of the new FABweb Unit Rep certificate course, unit reps will learn what equipment is and how to manage it.
The course will be available starting October 6. As of this date, completion of the Unit Rep certificate course will be required before assigning new FABweb Unit Rep roles through your USC. The Security Application will automatically check for training completion.
The unit representative is a key role in the equipment management lifecycle. In addition to other responsibilities, the unit rep processes and submits new acquisition records as well as processing transfers and disposals in FABweb.
About the certificate course
In this course, you will learn what equipment is and how to manage it. This course will introduce you to the equipment management lifecycle. You will learn about roles, responsibilities, and systems involved in processing property records. You will also learn about the codes and labels used to classify and identify equipment.
Prerequisite
Completion of Introduction to Banner and Finance I is recommended prior to taking the FABweb Unit Rep course. While not required, this suggested prerequisite will help prepare Unit Reps for the breadth of their responsibilities. You can take this course today to prepare for the release of the new Unit Rep course.
