Does your unit have gift (fund type 4M) or endowment income (fund type 4J) funds? If so, are you aware of the donor intent restrictions assigned to each fund? If not, see below for some tips to keep in mind:
- The best place to go to identify the donor intent restrictions assigned to your fund is the UI Foundation's Tracking and Engagement Database (TED).
- If you do not have access to TED, you can request access from the UI Foundation (UIF) at the following link: https://online.uif.uillinois.edu/signup.
- Once you have access and are logged into TED, follow the steps below:
- Select the Business Managers option in the toolbar at the top of the screen;
- Select the Fund Search option;
- Go to the Criteria tab;
- Enter your chart & fund number within the Banner Fund (C-FOP) Contains field;
- Click the View Report button at the bottom of the page;
- Click on the applicable UIF fund number within the Fund Search Report results that appear;
- Refer to the Restrictions/Guidelines section of the applicable report to locate the donor intent restrictions assigned to your fund, if applicable.
- Note: Not all funds are housed within UIF's TED, such as sub-funds. Reach out to UAFR for further details if needed.
- Another potentially helpful option to utilize is Banner page FTMFATA.
