  • Carle Illinois students earn grant to improve local healthcare access

    Second-year medical students Nicholas Nguyen (Co-Director of Avicenna Lifestyle) and Claire Lee (Co-Director of Avicenna Lifestyle), senior Haihley Connors (Co-Director of Avicenna Outreach), second-year medical student Anisha Mittal (Co-Director of Avicenna Outreach) and sophomore Isela Villaseñor (Avicenna Interpretations volunteer) from the Lifestyle, Outreach, and Interpretations team volunteer at the Campana de Salud Health Fair, promoting Avicenna, educating about healthy nutrition, and offering blood pressure screenings.

    Carle Illinois College of Medicine (CI MED) students received the Family Medicine Cares USA existing clinic award grant from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
