The ChatBot, which appears on the UIF site, and in the online giving process, will be discontinued as of April 26, 2023. The ChatBot was implemented in November of 2019 and originated from the first cohort of UIDEA. The ChatBot aggregated answers to 150+ questions and used AI technology to provide 24/7/365 self-service to 90% of users, regardless of spelling or question format, with the other 10% of users live chatting or scheduling a callback that best fit their schedules. Since its implementation, more than 2,700 interactions have been logged in the ChatBot, 30% occurring outside of business hours, with inquiries from 49 states and 50+ countries.
