Professor Bill King and OVPR's Caralynn Nowinski were in D.C. this week for the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation (DMDI) Institute Proposers' Day. On Tuesday, UI LABS and the Illinois Science and Technology Coalition (ISTC) co-hosted a DMDI reception, where we had strong representation from government, university, and industry partners.
From the Illinois Congressional delegation, we were joined by Rep. Rodney Davis and the Chiefs of Staff for Senators Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk. Senior staff from the offices of Representatives Cheri Bustos, Dan Lipinksi, Bill Enyart, and Mike Quigley also attended. In his remarks, Rep. Davis reaffirmed his robust support for our proposal.
OVPR's Courtney Grussing and Joey Mak, as well as UI LABS' Jason Harris and ISTC's Jeffrey Margolis worked closely with OGR to help make this event a success.
