One-on-One with Mike Bloechle, Director of Business Services
Mike Bloechle, Director of Business Services on the Springfield campus, responded by setting up one-on-one, informational presentations with high-level UIS administrators. To date, Mike has had 90 individual meetings with Assistant Vice Presidents, Deans, Directors, Associate Directors and Assistant Directors where he has shared information about OBFS functions and initiatives. A benefit to these meetings is the connection he has established with these customers in his role as the OBFS ombudsman and the OBFS resource for the UIS campus community.
Campus response to Mike's one-on-one meetings has been overwhelmingly positive. Several managers mentioned that they would like the material to be presented to additional people within their unit. The information has been new for some and a good review for others.
The conversation-style, in-person presentations have given the attendees the opportunity to talk about their challenges, and has given Mike an opportunity to discuss, educate, and help them find solutions.
Mike is planning to extend these campus interaction by meeting with all UIS Department Heads in the next two months.
