The State Universities Retirement System (SURS) is offering three SMP Retirement Education Seminars at its Champaign office located at 1901 Fox Drive, Champaign, IL 61820 (map/directions), for members in the Self-Managed Plan (SMP).
Thursday, March 8 from 9:45am-4:30pm
Thursday, April 12 from 9:45am-4:30pm
Thursday, May 24 from 9:45am-4:30pm
Topics will include:
Social Security at 9:45-A Social Security representative will be available to discuss eligibility requirements for Social Security and Medicare, how Social Security benefits are affected by SURS, and other general Social Security information.
Insurance at 11:00-An insurance representative will present information on eligibility, coverage, cost, and dependent information for both State of Illinois Insurance and the College Insurance Plan (CIP)

Presentation by Fidelity at 2:30-A Fidelity representative will discuss Building a Portfolio For Any Weather.
Presentation by TIAA-CREF at 3:30-A TIAA-CREF representative will discuss Retirement Income Options.
The seminars will be held at SURS (map/directions), at the dates and times listed above. There is no fee for these seminars. Lunch will not be provided; however, a 1 to 1 ½ hour break will be given.
