No action is required.
What can I do to continue with my current Springfield Clinic physician in the FY22 plan year?
You will be REQUIRED to change health plans during the upcoming Benefit Choice period (May 1 – June 1, 2021). See the FY22 Health Plan Map for plans available in your area.
Members who choose to change health plans during the Benefit Choice period may select from the following plans and keep their Springfield Clinic physician:
-
-
- Aetna HMO
- Aetna OAP
- BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois OAP – Available Tiers vary by county (new plan available July 1, 2021)
- Health Alliance HMO
- HealthLink OAP
- Quality Care Health Plan (QCHP) – Administered by Aetna
- Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) – Administered by Aetna
Can I select a different physician and stay covered under HMO Illinois or Blue Advantage HMO?
Yes, you may continue coverage with HMO Illinois or Blue Advantage HMO and select a new health care provider.
CMS will not allow appeals to change your health plan if you fail to make the appropriate election during the Benefit Choice period (May 1 – June 1, 2021).
As a reminder, we encourage you to use in-network providers to receive the best value from your health plan. No matter which plan you are enrolled in, receiving healthcare from an out-of-network provider will significantly increase your out-of-pocket medical costs.
