If you are a University of Illinois retiree who is Medicare-eligible, then you should be aware of the Fall Open Enrollment period going on now for the CMS Medicare Advantage insurance plan. This is called the “Total Retiree Advantage Illinois” or “TRAIL” Program. The Fall Open Enrollment Period start date is November 12, 2013, and ends December 13, 2013.

CMS has a hotline available to assist with completing the TRAIL Enrollment Form for the new Medicare Advantage with Prescription Drug (MA-PD) program at 1-800-610-2091, available 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday during the remainder of the TRAIL Open Enrollment Period, November 25 through December 13. This hotline is for assistance with the form only. All other questions should continue to be directed to SURS.
